Basic information
Are you one of those who are looking for peace and solitude during your vacation? Those who don't need hundreds of kilometers of ski slopes and avoid crowded après ski bars? Who - when on vacation - turn off their phone or even seek for a place without a phone signal? If this is the case, Planneralm is the right place for you.
The tiny village of Planneralm lies at a height 1,600 meters above sea level, at the end of
a 18 kilometers long road built only in 1963 connecting it with the Enns valley and the renowned Ski Amadé area.
The new aparthotel with only 7 modern alpine style apartments is located right in the center of
the village, 130 meters from the bottom station of the cable car. It is opened to its guests since February 2023.
Leave your worries behind and enjoy the peace, privacy and overwhelming nature of one of the most beautiful corners of Styria. And if you will miss a big ski resort - Tauplitz or Schladming are only
30-45 minutes drive from your hideaway apartment.

* The price includes the full inventory equipment and a parking space.
The price does not include VAT as well as additional costs connected with the purchase of the apartment (7 - 9% of net price, consisting of the real estate transfer
tax, the land register stamp duty, the legal /trustee/notarial fees and cash expenses.
Return on Investment / Personal stays
The allowed use of the apartments corresponds to the most common model - they are offered for tourist accommodation. Owners of each apartment sign an agreement with
a specialised company taking care of the complete maintenance, administration, reception operation and marketing. Twice a year, after the end of the summer and winter seasons,
it transfers the net income from the rental (i.e. income from accommodation after deducting operating costs and management fees) to the bank account of each owner.
The owners can book the apartments for personal stays, for
-
4 weeks during the main summer season,
-
4 weeks during the main winter season.
On top of that, the apartment can be booked by the owner upon a "last minute" reservation -
so far as it is not reserved by other guests.
The owner bookings are not free of charge - the owner pays the cheapest available rates which corresponds to 50% of the list price. Yet, it should be noted that most of the paid accommodation fee will return back to the owner in the form of rental income.
The owner bookings are limited to the owner of the apartment and his/her first-line relatives (children, parents).
Apartment equipment / available services
Planneralm is one of the development projects where the photos speak for themselves. It is obvious at the first glance that a great emphasis was placed on quality and sustainability. Furniture, floors, decorations - everything down to the smallest detail was very carefully selected with the intention to create a natural and harmonious balance between the coziness of an alpine hut and the comfort of a modern apartment.
The residence consists of 7 apartments with one to three bedrooms. The smallest apartments have one bedroom and a spacious terrace, the larger maisonette apartments have 2 bedrooms and a balcony. The largest apartments are spread over three floors and, in addition to three bedrooms and a terrace, also have a private sauna.
All apartments are fully furnished and have a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. You can park your car right next to the house in one of the parking spaces. There is
a spacious ski room and a bicycle storage room available for the guests.
Planneralm and surroundings
Planneralm is the highest ski resort in Styria. Thanks to its altitude, the northern orientation of the slopes and the excellent weather conditions, there is no need for snow cannons here - it is possible to ski on natural snow all season long on all 16 kilometers of slopes.
The remoteness and small size of the resort ensures that you don't have to be afraid of crowded ski slopes or lines in front of ski lifts. The slopes are wide, safe and ideal for families with children. The main three pistes under the Rotbühel and Plannereck chairlifts are approximately 1,500 meters long and overcome an elevation of 400 meters. Between the slopes, there are beautiful and easily accessible freeriding terrains, secured against avalanches. In the lower part of the area there is a snow park. The area also encompasses an illuminated toboggan run, cross-country tracks and winter hiking trails.
If a small, quiet resort does not satisfy your needs, you can easily reach the Tauplitz ski resort (30 kilometers away) or the ski areas around Schladming (50 - 60 km).
Also during summer, the Planneralm maintains its reputation as a place without the masses of incoming tourists. The ski lifts are not in operation during summer, and the wonderful views from the mountain range over Planneralm can only be enjoyed by those who climb it up on foot. Yet, due to the altitude of the village, the hikes to the surrounding summits are neither long nor difficult.
If hiking around Planneralm and enjoying peace away from the hectic everyday life are not enough, you can easily drive down to the Enns Valley and choose one of many ways how to spend your leisure time. Popular summer activities include:
-
trips to beautiful waterfalls and lakes (e.g. the Wilde Wasser trail, which was the first to receive the National Geographic Path designation),
-
cycle routes through the Enns Valley (Ennsradweg) as well as challenging mountain bike routes around the massif of Dachstein,
-
22 secured climbing routes including the famous Sky Walk, one of the most difficult via ferratas in the Eastern Alps,
-
rafting on the Enns river,
-
golf on one of five beautiful and challenging golf courses,
-
gastrotourism and cultural trips (e.g. to the Benedictine abbey in Admont with its world-famous library).
Accessibility
Planneralm belongs to the locations that are very easily accessible from both Czechia and Slovakia.
The fastest route from Prague goes through České Budějovice, Linz and Liezen.
In normal traffic conditions, the distance of 390 kilometers can be made within 4.5 hours.
